AN INTIMATE WASHINGTON MOUNTAIN WEDDING
Every year Lauren and Jake, joined by all their best friends, see their favorite band, Phish, in concert. This year they all decided to come to Washington for three days of Phish at The Gorge, and Lauren and Jake thought it’d be the perfect time to finally tie the knot. At first they thought it’d just be their Phish friends flying from Georgia to join them for their mountain elopement, but once they told their parents about their plan they decided they wanted to come too. Can’t blame them!

Lauren scoured the internet looking for the perfect spot for their Washington mountain wedding and found such a beautiful little location on Airbnb. Their little cluster of cabins was located along a raging river and at the base of granite cliffs in the Cascades. We had a fun first look with Lauren and Jake by the river and then gathered with their family for their intimate ceremony.
A POST-WEDDING WASHINGTON MOUNTAIN ADVENTURE
After celebrating with their guests and feasting on delicious barbecue (pro tip: barbecue is a DELICIOUS and easy meal to have catered for small mountain weddings), Lauren and Jake threw on their hiking shoes and up into the mountains we went! We had scouted a nearby trail months prior and knew that it’d be the perfect way to end their day. The trail took us through a magical PNW forest with moss covered trees and giant ferns. Just as you begin to break a sweat, the trail tops out and opens up to a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. When we got up to the top, Lauren and Jake read their vows to each other privately before finishing the evening with a classic Foxes Photography sunset session.
