In true elopement fashion Joey and Dzenita ran away to the Washington mountains with no witnesses to get married surrounded by the peaks of the North Cascades and might I argue the most beautiful glowing sunset of the summer.

Snowy Mountain tops and epic sunsets
We started off the day at cozy cabin tucked away near the nook sack river. We then hit the road and did some off roading to get to the trailhead where they had their first look. This is one of my favorite hikes in the cascades because it is the most green! Once the weather is right you get to see some wildflowers along the trail which adds a little pop of color to the already amazing landscape.
We carried on and stopped about 3/4’s of the way up so Joey and Dzenita could exchange vows while overlooking the valley below them. Some light tears were shed before their first kiss and some celebrating in the snow. We took in the sites and played in the snow before packing up the vows and heading towards the top.
We reached the top of the mountain and cracked open some beers and ciders while also snacking on these delicious snacks that Dzenita’s mom made for us. Then golden hour arrived and in-between sips of beer and champagne we soaked in the sunset while snapping photos until blue hour. It truly was the most perfect day out in the mountains!
