Instagram post 2196037450005919236_5958827919 Could really go for one of these moments right about now. You know, the kind of moment where you just stare out at a warm Pacific sunset, smelling the ocean, hearing the sea birds, feeling a gentle breeze off the water, and holding the hand of your other half 😌 It gets a little gloomy in the PNW in December, but we just close our eyes and think back on times like these. .

Instagram post 2195516251882541161_5958827919 Would you stand on the edge of this cliff? Or do you get vertigo just thinking about it? These two newlyweds were no strangers to big cliffs and long drops. I mean, they literally roped up and climbed up here to share their vows thousands of feet above the valley floor, surrounded by this mountainous playground in which they've shared so many memories together. They may have had butterflies in their bellies, but it wasn't because of the heights 😉

Instagram post 2193841931594674322_5958827919 Oh you know, just causally hiking around in a wedding dress like it ain’t no thang. I loveeee how a long train trails behind the bride when she’s walking. Or the layers of gathered fabric when she bunches up the dress in her hands. Wedding gowns always look so 👏🏼 damn 👏🏼 epic 👏🏼 out in nature. We love that contrast. And as photographers, we love playing around with different types of dresses. It’s so fun thinking of the dress as it’s own entity, or an accessory, and coming up with fun ways to show it off in a photo, especially when it’s very subtle. For example, we love asking couples to walk across our frame with some separation between them, and then capturing how they interact with their dress, and how their dress interacts with the environment. Like this shot here ☝🏼

Instagram post 2193097050710529112_5958827919 Yosemite is known for being this hard, rugged place. People come from all over the world to climb these massive cliffs, hike for days on 40+ mile backpacking trips, take the grueling day hike up to the top of half dome, and just spend day after day getting after it in the wild landscape. But what’s so cool about this place is that even though it’s rugged, it’s so incredibly romantic at the same time. The gushing waterfalls create mini rainbows in the soft evening light, the sunsets light up the granite slabs in all shades of pink and purple, everyone feels a sense of awe and wonder staring up at these massive cliffs, and in the darkness you begin to see headlamp lights from all the climbers on El Cap just twinkling and dancing their way up the cliff. It’s a very romantically rugged place ✨💫

Instagram post 2192582004691659263_5958827919 My favorite thing about photographing couples is seeing the way they look at each other throughout the day. The way they just talk to each other through their eyes, as if they have their own language that only they know. This photo was taken right after their ceremony and right before popping a bottle of champagne 🥂So I imagine their gazes here were saying, “Can you believe we’re finally here, and finally married?”

Instagram post 2191664947552037074_5958827919 This is us; Gabi and Brandon, the Foxes. Lots of dogs, tattoos of dogs, messy hair, mud covered boots, baller outfits masking our dirty selves who haven’t showered in a few days, energy drawn from the waves and wind surrounding us, cold from the air but warm from the brown sugar bourbon we were drinking, and so much passion.
.
Our favorite photos of us ever taken and in a place we love so much. Captured by our friends Charly and Josh, who are part of our Foxpack photographer team. When we got these photos back, we finally understood the feeling that our couples describe to us after they get their photos back. That “holy shit, that’s us?!” Butterflies fluttering around in your stomach while the biggest smile you’ve ever had is growing from ear to ear. Flipping through each one and studying all the things you love about each image. And then going back through and doing it all over again. This tiny little business we started almost exactly three years ago today in our airstream, getting snowed on in Kentucky 😂 is expanding so even more couples can share that same feeling.
.
Since officially launching @foxpackelopements yesterday, we’ve received an insane amount of DMs, texts, and calls from so many people. The amount of love, support, and excitement from everyone has been overwhelming. Friends, family, our couples, our Foxpack couples, other photographers, and even people we’ve never met or talked to before, all of your words of excitement for this new chapter has seriously been one of the most incredible experiences we’ve had. Changing and growing our business to become something bigger than just us has always been a dream, but to actually be doing it has been so hard and even scary. There’s been countless nights lying in bed until 2am just running through all the what if’s, fears, and doubts. But we have felt so much support from this community, and that has been incredible. Those of you who have been here from before “The Foxes” to those of you who’ve been here for two years to those of you who’ve been here for just two months, thank you all so much for being a part of journey with us. Cheers to this next chapter of The Foxes 🥂🎉🤘🏻👰🏻👰🏻🤵🏼🤵🏼🌲🏔🏜🏝🌋

Instagram post 2185870853689697186_5958827919 What’s your favorite part of the forest? Is it the smells? Is it the sounds? Is it the moss? The ferns? Is it the overwhelming feeling of standing in the midst of ancient giants? Or the way the light glistens off dewdrops after a fresh rain? Whatever it is that captures your imagination and excites your senses, wandering through an old-growth forest is an undeniably magical experience 🌲 .
