A incredibly spectacular day with wildly in love p A incredibly spectacular day with wildly in love people. We started out dancing around a cabin in the woods, drove up a winding road deep into the rugged mountains, celebrated these two with their closest friends and family, hiked further into the mountains, chased the sun, and danced some more along the mountain peaks. So much love and heart and laughter filled this day, and in one of the most breath taking places we’ve come across. It’s always hard to put into words just how magical days like this are, but I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to capture that magic with a camera 💫

What an experience 🖤 Romping around these mount What an experience 🖤 Romping around these mountains and climbing these peaks is a big part of the relationship these two have. Similarly to us, they left Boston in a van years ago, landed in Washington, fell in love with the sea of peaks in the North Cascades, and decided to make this place home. These peaks are special to them, so when they began planning this day, they wanted to “tie the knot” on a climb 😂 had to, sorry not sorry. But they also wanted to share this magical place with their loved ones. So for the week, their families and best friends joined them in the mountains for a multi-day wedding adventure. We woke up at 3:30am to catch the sunrise and spent the day climbing together with a first look at the summit. The next day they married each other at the base of the mountain surrounded by their people. And after their wedding they celebrated with beers, a gourmet barbecue their friends put together, cake, and lots of laughing as they reminisced and shared memories of fun times they’ve all had together. What an honor it was for us to meet all of these wonderful folks, capture these two doing what they love together, and capture them spending time with the people they love too. E&T, thank you for inviting us out on such a fun adventure with such incredible people. Congrats 🥳💕
The sun is shining here in Washington and we are g The sun is shining here in Washington and we are getting SO psyched to be back up in these mountains after a looooooong winter. Wandering around these mountains, glowing in the long north cascades summer sunsets is just something else 💫 Also a reminder that it’s time to get back into hiking shape. BRB while we load up our packs with 40lbs of weights to simulate our camera gear/champagne/glasses/hefty cake/dress shoes/blanket/layers/headlamps/speaker…you know, the typical elopement pack load 😅 #adventureelopementtraining
A few years ago Jeanelle and Calvin stumbled upon A few years ago Jeanelle and Calvin stumbled upon a tiny, magical oasis tucked away in the forest, only accessible by water taxi. There are 4 yurts here and they are beautiful, yet rugged, giving you unique access to a backcountry experience with the luxuries of home. Instead of sounds of cars on the streets outside, you hear the rush of a nearby river. They have kayaks for you to take out and explore nearby islands and waterfalls and hikes that are only accessible by water. Being out here really makes you feel like you’re on your own private island. And the marine life is abundant with seals and puffins and all kinds of fish. It’s an incredibly immersive experience unlike any other, an oasis for adventurers and wildlife lovers. Unfortunately these two never made it out to Shearwater because shortly after they booked their stay, Covid happened and everything shut down for a year. But they knew they’d return eventually… Fast forward a year and a half to when they were searching for elopement photographers and found us! They told us about this place and we were so excited because it offers such a unique experience. And it was unlike any other elopement we’ve ever photographed 🙌🏼 We all paddled out to the waterfall (where Calvin had originally planned to propose) we saw so much wildlife (they even saw a rare puffin on the boat ride to the ceremony, their first wild puffin sighting ever!), they got married on an island spit that was once the terminus of ancient glacier (and the island happened to be called Fox Island 🦊 so it was kinda perfect lol), there were wildflowers galore, some classic PNW moody mist, and then to cap it all off we hiked up to a scenic overlook to soak in the expansive fjord views they were just paddling around in. Talk about an unforgettable elopement experience! Congrats J&C, so stoked for you two and so grateful for having us along to capture it all 💕
When these two first reached out to us, they had s When these two first reached out to us, they had seen our photos from the Washington mountains and felt drawn to the glaciated peaks of Rainier and Olympic National Park. Having recently moved to Portland from southern California, they had already started exploring some of these parks on their own. We chatted about some amazing trails we could explore, but then at some point we mentioned we were also going to be in Alaska for our first time 😏 the conversation quickly diverted and we spent the rest of the time talking about this place that neither of us had ever been before. The excitement of experiencing a totally new and wild place for their wedding day overtook them and they pretty quickly decided this was the place where they wanted to elope. We didn’t have any photos to show since we hadn’t been here before either, but they trusted our vision and art 🙏🏼 so we got down to planning an epic AK elopement!
And epic it was 🤯 don’t even care if that word is overused because it’s totally appropriate for this landscape, wow! Over 5+ hours we had a helicopter to ourselves to explore remote and wild locations it would take days to reach on foot, if even possible. We wandered amongst wildflower-blanketed hillsides and stunning blue glaciers. Their ceremony was occasionally interrupted by a thunderous cracking as the hanging glacier calved over a waterfall and ice chunks exploded as they crashed down the mountain. We landed on a glacier and strapped on microspikes, jumping over mesmerizing turquoise blue pools and climbing mini ice mountains. We saw moose galore from the chopper too. It was a full on Alaska experience 🚁🧊 and then as if that wasn’t enough adventure for one day, we drove up into the mountains afterwards for the midnight sun, some cake, and a first dance in the twilight. No words can describe how amazing this day was, but hopefully we’ve painted a decent picture. This is what adventure elopements are all about - a wedding and adventurous experience all wrapped into one amazing day. #unforgettable

A variety of frames from a few moments in the moun A variety of frames from a few moments in the mountains. A snap of admiring the mountains, then one of admiring each other, then a detail of the mountains, then a detail of your laughter, then a big wide shot of you two off exploring the mountains together. I think one of our favorite things about creating with our couples is capturing who they are together AND the how they’re experiencing the place they decided to get married in. That perfect blend and balance of couples and landscapes, without one overshadowing the other 🤌🏻

Last year we experienced Iceland for our first tim Last year we experienced Iceland for our first time and it blew our minds. Totally lived up to the hype and beyond, despite our very serious doubts at the time (we thought it’d be underwhelming in person and wow we were so wrong 😂). Now Hannah is back in Iceland for a couple more elopements in this magical place and these teasers are making us long for another visit to this enchanting island! These two had Hannah along for a double day elopement packed with adventures that took them to multiple breathtaking waterfalls, cute little historic Viking turf huts (that I imagine fairies live in), glacial lagoons filled with icebergs, fields of wildflowers, and of course a pit stop to hang out with Iceland’s adorable and friendly horses. Simply magical. K brb gonna go look at flights on Skyscanner.

It already feels like a distant memory, or a dream more like. Don’t think this will be the last time we visit the Lofoten Islands 😏
