A Colorful Sedona Wedding in Arizona's Desert
Abby and Ray began their Sedona wedding with hugs and cheers from their closest loved ones and family members. They could hardly contain their excitement as they got ready. Abby was walked down the “isle” by her father, who with tears in his eyes and a smile on his face, hugged her before she joined Ray for the ceremony. Abby and Ray stood before a beautiful fiber art archway that her sister made and said their vows. Abby’s lacy dress looked gorgeous with the green and red backdrop of the valley.

Sedona is known for being one of the most colorful desert locations in the southwest United States. The details Abby and Ray included on their elopement day added even more color to an already colorful place – with Ray’s red taco socks and Abby’s multi-colored wildflower bouquet. This intimate wedding included so many fun desert adventure elements – including off roading to get here! After sharing cheers and laughter with their closest friends and family, Abby and Ray walked to an intimate overlook to watch the sunset.
Side note – Abby is a wedding photographer herself! She’s known as Beyond the Pines Photography and is based in Indiana. When she was planning her intimate Sedona adventure wedding, she knew from experience just the kind of day she wanted 😉

Abby and Ray were giddy with excitement after their wedding ceremony and they danced the rest of their day away. On a cliffside in Sedona, these newlyweds watched the sun set on their wedding day with smiles and laughter. Abby put on her custom denim jacket with “Bride” painted across the back, her floppy wide-brimmed hat, and stood for a moment to relish in the fantastic day.

I don’t think we’ve had the joy of another wedding with so much laughter! There was hardly a minute when someone wasn’t cheerfully expressing their love for each other and the beautiful place. Abby and Ray did their wedding right, with so much cheer and excitement about each little thing. Their happiness was contagious and perfectly matched the beauty of Sedona. The view from this location was incredible as the sun began to set and the colors of Sedona became more intense in the dramatic lighting. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, the clouds grew thicker and rolled in heavily. The sunset colors turned dark purple as this Sedona elopement came to an end.
