Epic Mount Rainier elopement + old growth forest
To start the day, we met these two at the trailhead of a quiet and beautiful old growth forest within Mount Rainier National Park. They wanted to save their first look for the ceremony so we got right down to business! Brandon wandered ahead to the ceremony grove we had scouted, joined by David (groom) and the few guests. I hung behind with Amy and we followed them in after Brandon walkied they were ready.
It was happy tears and all emotions the second they set eyes on each other. The immense love these two have for each other was so easy to see. Made shooting through our own tears a little difficult haha 😉 When David quoted some Led Zeppelin lyrics we seriously lost it.

After the ceremony, we hung around the forest and took some portraits beneath these ancient giants. Then we headed back to the car, changed into hiking clothes, and hit the trail for a short but steep climb up to one of our favorite views of Mount Rainier. We reached the top just in time to enjoy a long, slow summer sunset. We cracked some craft beers, laughed and danced to music, and wandered around exploring this enchanting area that we had all to ourselves.
As the evening came to a close and the sun dipped behind the distant mountain peaks, Mount Rainier turned to a rich purple color. David and Amy put on their first dance song and held each other tight while soaking in this spectacular moment. It was a pretty perfect Mount Rainier elopement if you ask us!
