On July 8th, 2016, we got to romp around the magical Redwoods forest with Jeff & Alyssa on their wedding day. Jeff and Alyssa are a pretty unique couple who had been together for 9 years before finally tying the knot. They spent two years teaching and traveling in Asia and Europe, where Jeff asked Alyssa to marry her. Their free-spirited personalities, love for nature, yearn for adventure, and passion for each other was reflected in every aspect of their wedding. A small, private Redwood grove is probably one of the most beautiful and intimate places to marry your best friend. Brandon and I definitely had wedding venue envy!
The venue, Roaring Camp Railroad, is an old western themed property nestled in the Henry Cowell State Park. A fun 30-minute train ride through the redwood forest took us up to a beautiful, private grove for the ceremony. It was an intimate ceremony for about eighty of Jeff and Alyssa’s closest friends and family. The ceremony was led and officiated by Jeff’s beautiful sister who had equally beautiful words to say about their love. I was even choked up.
Afterward, we snuck away with Jeff and Alyssa for a fairytale-like walk through the redwoods before their party started at the Roaring Camp barn. The night continued on with touching toasts, good food, craft beer, fun people, great music, and of course, so much dancing.
We had such a fun day hanging out with Jeff, Alyssa, their family, and their friends. Thank you for letting us be a part of your day!
